Luxury Equestrian Jewellery
Cotswold JewelleryOur Luxury Equestrian Jewellery Collection
If you love horses, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say that being horsey isn't really something you switch on and off.
It's there in the muddy boots left by the door, the never-ending supply of hay in the car, and house, the coat that somehow always has horse hair on it and the alarm clock that goes off far earlier than you'd like because there's a horse waiting for you.
It's the trips to the yard in the rain, pulling ragwort, cleaning troughs and generally being a dogs body to your horses every whim.
The summer evenings when you stay just a little bit longer because your horse is happily munching away and you don't really want to leave.
It's the excitement of a competition, the nerves beforehand, the huge grin when it all goes right — and sometimes the disappointment when it doesn't.
And then there are all those little moments that nobody else would necessarily understand. The neigh when your horse sees you coming. The head over the stable door.
That feeling when you put your hand on their neck and everything suddenly feels a little bit better.
For those of us who love horses, they become such a huge part of life that it's only natural that we like to carry a little bit of that world with us.
And that's where jewellery comes in.

Jewellery for people who really do love horses
I have always thought that the nicest horse jewellery isn't necessarily the piece that shouts HORSE from across the room.
Sometimes it's the little details that make it special, a beautifully shaped snaffle, a tiny horse charm. a pair of elegant earrings with just the right equestrian detail.
Or a necklace that, to someone who doesn't know horses, is simply a beautiful piece of jewellery — but to someone who does, has a very different meaning.
That's what I love about equestrian jewellery. You know what it represents. And sometimes that's all that matters.

Something a little more special
Our Luxury Equestrian Jewellery Collection came about because sometimes you are looking for something beyond the everyday. Perhaps it's a very special birthday, a big anniversary, a present for someone who has had horses all her life, a piece to mark an achievement with her horse. Or maybe, quite simply, you've worked hard and decided you deserve something lovely yourself. I think we're all allowed a little bit of that!
The pieces we've chosen for this collection are ones that have that extra something about them. Beautifully made, carefully detailed and designed to be jewellery you keep rather than something you wear for five minutes and forget about. Some are elegant and understated. Some are much more of a statement. But all have that connection to the horsey life that makes them feel different from ordinary jewellery.
A little look at why horse jewellery means so much to those who love the horsey life, with beautiful pieces from our luxury equestrian jewellery collection.

Because horse people notice the details
Ask a non-horsey person what they see when they look at a snaffle necklace and they might simply see a pretty silver necklace.
Ask a horsey person and they'll notice the bit.
They'll recognise the shape, and they'll know what it represents.
The same goes for stirrups, horseshoes, bridles and all those little details that have become part of our everyday world.
That's why I think equestrian jewellery makes such lovely gifts. You're not just buying something with a horse on it, you're buying something that connects with a part of someone's life.

The perfect present for a horse lover
If you've ever tried buying a present for someone who owns horses, you'll probably know the problem.
They already have enough riding clothes.
They have enough boots.
They have enough grooming brushes.
They definitely don't need another bucket.
And yet you still want to find them something that makes them smile.
That's why I think jewellery can be such a lovely option.
It's personal.
It's something they can keep.
And unlike another pair of riding gloves, it doesn't need to be left in the tack room!
A beautiful piece of horse jewellery can be worn anywhere — whether she's at the yard, out for dinner or simply going about her everyday life.
And every time she puts it on, there's that little reminder of the thing she loves.

Snaffles, horses and everything in between
There are certain designs that horse people never seem to tire of.
The snaffle is probably one of the most recognisable.
There is something timeless about it. It has been part of the riding world for generations, and translated into jewellery it can look surprisingly elegant.
Our Snaffle Jewellery collection includes pieces that work beautifully for everyday wear as well as something a little more special.
Then there are horses themselves.
A beautifully detailed horse can capture so much character in a surprisingly small piece of jewellery.
And perhaps that's why horse jewellery has such an enduring appeal.
Every horse lover has their horse in their head.
The cheeky one. the golden oldie, the horse they learnt to ride on, the one they thought they'd never manage — until they did. the one that changed everything.
You can look at a little silver horse and it can bring all of that back.

It's the memories that make it special
I think that's probably my favourite thing about jewellery.
It's not really the jewellery itself that makes us keep certain pieces for years, it's the story attached to them, a necklace given for a 40th birthday, a bracelet bought after a first competition. a pair of earrings from Mum, a special piece bought to celebrate a horse that meant the world to you.
Years later, the jewellery might still look beautiful, but it's the memory that makes it impossible to replace.
That's why when choosing pieces for our Luxury Equestrian Jewellery Collection, I wanted them to feel like jewellery that could become part of someone's story.
Not just something bought today and forgotten tomorrow.

For the mum who has always been horsey
There are so many horsey families where the love of horses gets passed down.
Mum rides, Daughter rides, then perhaps the granddaughter starts riding too.
The pony club years, the early morning lessons, the competitions, the endless photographs and the inevitable collection of rosettes growing on the bedroom wall.
A beautiful piece of equestrian jewellery can make a lovely gift for a mum or daughter who has shared that life with you.
Something that represents all those years together.

For the girl who would rather be at the yard
And then there are the younger horse lovers.
The ones who would happily spend every waking hour at the yard if you let them, the ones whose clothes are permanently covered in horse hair, the ones who know every horse's name, temperament and favourite treat.
For them, anything horsey is likely to be appreciated — but a beautiful piece of jewellery can be particularly special as they get older.
It can be something they keep as they grow up, rather than something they've simply outgrown.
*
And yes, sometimes you should just buy it for yourself
Not every piece of jewellery needs a reason, you don't need to have a birthday coming up, you don't need to have won a competition, you don't even need anyone else to buy it for you. If you've seen something you absolutely love, sometimes that's reason enough.
Especially when you've spent half your life looking after horses, mucking out, riding in the rain, getting up early and putting everyone else first.
You deserve something lovely too.
